Traditional Métis Slippers and Mittens Workshop | December 20 OR 21

Step into Métis tradition this winter! Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll craft your own slippers or mittens—essential pieces of the Métis winter wardrobe—while learning time-honored techniques in hand sewing and traditional adornments.

Under the guidance of an Elder, you'll work with beautiful materials including wool, leather, fur trim, beads, embroidery threads, and ribbons to create a piece adorned with the floral patterns that are signature to Métis artistry.
